1977

Finally my 1977 album from Ash was in the mailbox last night. Bought it online since I called up HMV and they dont carry this limited edition release. Ever since they had their gig in Singapore, I had been waiting anxiously for the release of their special limited re-issue album of 1997 3 CD set which comprises of 1977, Trailer, Live at Reading, Live at Wireless and B Sides & Rarities.

I pumped up the stereo when playing 1977, Tim Wheller and the boys are brilliant. How can an album sound this fresh after so many years. Its only one of those rare moments where an album like this stands through the test of time. And 1977 to me is one of the classics which will stand shine through the years.

Hahahaha maybe the title is misleading. This album was not released in 1977 was their first full length album released in 1996. The band members named it 1977 because of three events which shaped the band - the births of two members of the band, the year Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope was released, and the year the first punk albums were released.
