I read in Straits Times Today that our ambassador for Peru flew back to Msia just to cast his vote. Although I do admire his patritiotism and his commitment to his country, but why not postal voting?
"Also casting their ballots this morning was the Malaysian Ambassador to Peru, Datuk Mohd Nor Atan, who arrived at the polling centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan Menggong at 9.30am and voted at 9.55am. Mohd Nor, 52, from Felda Tun Ghafar Menggong, told Bernama that although the flight from Peru to Malaysia took 26 hours, he was willing to come home to exercise his rights and hoped other outstation voters would also come home to vote. Bangsa Malaysia
Does anyone remember about the issue not too long back on Bangsa Malaysia? MB Johor says it runs contrary to the Consitution. So Keng Yaik, before you bow out next week, please knock some senses to those ignorant fools before u go lah.....
Except from The Sun, 02-Apr-07 on Keng Yaik leaving
He said that, if at all there was a regret on his part, it was that the sense of "nationalistic belonging" of the various communities had yet to be achieved in the form of Bangsa Malaysia.
